MSA students are children of the Africa Mercy crew and staff members who live onboard. Our energetic teachers cultivate a love of learning and living onboard a hospital ship that instills an appreciation for community, and the joy of helping those in need as students are encouraged to befriend patients in the hospital wards.
The school is comprised of both an international faculty and student body, representing an average of 10 different nationalities during each school term. Average enrollment is about 55 students, with a full-time faculty of 13 teachers, as well as 5 part-time teachers.
All teachers, licensed and certified in their home countries, are dedicated to equipping students to influence their world through a series of rigorous coursework. The student-to-teacher ratio averages 5 students to every 1 teacher.
