December 15 - March 14

Hello Everyone.

My name is Dauren, you can call me DK.

I will be serving at Mercy Ships from December to January first time. I am, of course, very excited about it and very happy. I am very proud of being first man from Kazakhstan on Africa Mercy Ships.

It's been almost a year since I applied last year and it was one of the best decision. Initially, I applied to IS Support specialist position, but it did not work out for me due to time frame, so I will be working as Housekeeper. No matter as who, I am coming to help you out.

Dauren Karatayev.

Thank you for your willingness to bring hope and healing to West Africa by serving as a Housekeeper. I hope your time onboard is very rewarding. I will be onboard as an OR Nurse from December 27-January 18! So much fun to find others who will be serving at the same time.

So great to hear that you will be the “first” from your country! I hope others will follow your lead!. I worked in housekeeping in Summer of 2016 (on the sail and in Benin). It was a fantastic team to be on and I hope you will find fulfillment and joy as I did. Our daughter, Beth, is currently serving on the ship now. She is the kindergarten teacher in the AFM Academy. You will find a warm and welcoming community on board the ship. God bless you and keep you as you serve faithfully the world’s forgotten poor.
