Dry Dock - Canary Islands

Today the Africa Mercy will be lifted out of the water & pulled into a dry dock for her annual maintenance period. This year she will be looked after by our friends in a Shipyard in the Canary Islands.

On the same day in 2014 I was lucky enough to be asked to take some photos while the Ship was transported round to the lift & lifted on to dry land.

It was amazing to see a platform lift a 16,500 gross ton Ship out of the water!

Our Technical teams will be working around the clock to get the Ship ready for its next field service. Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers.
