The schedule at https://mymercy.mercyships.org/discussion/1293/liberia-surgical-specialty-schedules#latest was posted in 2019. Still valid?
Thanks, ... P.
Thank you for your interest in Mercy Ships!
As I assume you are aware, we had to suspend our programs in Senegal due to COVID 19, and we departed early. Our next Field Service was scheduled to be in Liberia; however, this has also changed due to the pandemic. We are planning to return to Senegal in 2021 to finish the work we began there. For this reason, there will be a new, revised surgical schedule, and the one linked above is no longer accurate. We have not yet posted the new surgical schedule, but it should be posted within the next few weeks.
To ensure the health and safety of our patients and volunteers, and with limited access to the supplies/resources and international travel, we are downsizing our programmatic and surgical schedules. However, we remain committed to supporting healthcare systems in Africa.
Please stay tuned for further information.

Have you received our Talent Pool (or alumni) newsletters? If so, you are aware that Mercy Ships is planning to return to Senegal with the Africa Mercy in January 2021 for the next Field Service. Our staffing teams should begin staffing for this Field Service around the end of September/beginning of October. Although this is our plan, things do remain somewhat fluid due to the ongoing pandemic.
If you have any specific questions regarding this, please feel free to post them here or reach out to your Volunteer Coordinator.
