Whether you are coming for Foundations of Mercy Ships, Basic Training, or the full On Boarding training course - we want to make sure you have a great experience at the International Support Center in Texas.

Where is the ISC? We are located here, about halfway between Dallas and Shreveport, just north of Interstate 20.

What can you expect while you're here?
"On Campus". The ISC is located on 430 acres in East Texas. In addition to the business offices, there are dormitories, a dining hall, a cafe, a gymnasium, an outdoor pool, walking trails, a lake, and even a disc-golf course. Texas temperatures in this area range between 85 to 100 Fahrenheit in the summer (30 to 38 Celsius) to 20 to 70 Farenheit in the winter (-6 to 20 Celsius). Don't worry - there is air conditioning inside!

Computers/Email access. Wifi is available. You can access it from your phone or laptop. If you need a computer to access the internet, we have a few available.

Special diets.Meals while you're here will be prepared by a great chef (and team!) and eaten in our dining hall. Unfortunately we can't guarantee we can accommodate any specific dietary needs you may have. It's important to let your facilitator know of any dietary restrictions beforehand. You might also want to plan to bring and foods or special dietary items with you (refrigerators are available).

What should you bring?
Medications. Make sure you bring all your medications - enough for your entire stay.
Contact Lenses/Glasses. You may want to bring an extra set just in case. Sunglasses are a good idea, especially in the summer!
Alarm clock
Journal or notebook
Clothing. Dress is casual and modest. Here are some tips to consider when packing:
*Raincoat and/or umbrella
*Sweater / jumper (even if it's warm outside, the aircon can get chilly)
*Trainers / athletic shoes
*Modest swimming attire (one-piece)
