On Boarding participants -

We're looking forward to you joining us at the International Support Center! Below and attached to this post are some helpful resources for you.

The entry training is quite condensed and there is little "free" time. Class attendance is crucial in successfully completing the program; therefore we ask that you consider the list below to ensure your time in On Boarding is focused and productive!

Check your calendar/diary. Make sure you don’t have any major family events or prior commitments scheduled during your On Boarding dates.

Get your immunizations sorted. Your Placement Facilitator will provide you with a list of required immunizations after you’re accepted and it needs to be completed & returned before you arrive for On Boarding. There will not be time during the training to acquire any missing immunizations.

Think ahead. You’re joining a ship, likely far from home, for an extended period of time. This is a good time to meet with your physician, dentist, etc. one last time before you leave!

Resolve. Whether it be selling your car, renting your flat, finding a storage facility for your things – a lot needs to get done before you come to On Boarding and start your commitment onboard!

Prepare. Build your support system and prayer team. You’ll need them before you leave!

Our goal is to make you as prepared as possible for your experience onboard. On Boarding is not just a time to prepare for this journey, but an amazing time to connect with other Mercy Ships volunteers, build friendships, and grow your relationship with the Lord.

The Mercy Ships team is praying for each of you as you plan and prepare. Let us know how we can help you!

Blessings from the Staff Development Team
